In 2008, I had lunch with 1981 BA grad Mike Judd.   He had recently found a bunch of old newspaper articles from the now defunct liberal Dallas Times Herald.  For some odd reason, when he was a freshman, he kept all of the newspaper articles about the Bryan Adams varsity football team.  The football team had not been to a city championship game since 1968 when they had a record of 12-1 and 10 players received college scholarships.  We lost the city championship in 1978 to Roosevelt by a score of 6 - 0.  Here are the newspaper articles:

Highly touted as a Father vs. Son game, our quarterback Rusty Hill's father Harold Hill was the coach at W. T. White.
I remember this game being 3-0 but it was actually 2-0.

BA 2 White 0

BA 14 North Mesquite 0

Dallas Times Herald, September 8, 1978

QB Rusty Hill - Player of the Week, after the North Mesquite game

BA 13 Spruce 0

BA 29 Lincoln 0

BA 14 Samuel 6

BA 20 Thomas Jefferson 6

BA 13 Hillcrest 7

BA 23 Woodrow Wilson 0

Dallas Times Herald, October 6, 1978

Skyline had a terrible team and all we had to do is tie them or beat them to win district.  We tied them.
BA 7 Skyline 7

BA 7-2-1 will play Roosevelt 7-3 for city championship

While we are on the subject 1978, Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) came to town and I saw them at the Tarrant County Convention Center in Ft. Worth.  Mike Judd also had the newspaper articles.
