I believe that Sheryl Crow may someday be the most successful female singer/songwriter in history - Paul Ridenour

Sheryl Suzanne Crow was born February 11, 1962, in Kennett, Missouri.

Between 1994 and 2003, Sheryl won nine Grammy Awards.

1st CD - Tuesday Night Music Club (1993)

Album Certified Seven Times Platinum
1994 Grammy - Record of the Year - "All I Wanna Do"
1994 Grammy - Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female - "All I Wanna Do"
1994 Grammy - Best New Artist

Every song is good except #5 and #6. The last three are awesome. "All I Wanna Do" captures California perfectly, just as Don Henley's "Sunset Grill" does. I love the songs "I Shall Believe" and "We Do What We can." Other good songs include "Run, Baby, Run, " "Leaving Las Vegas," "Strong Enough," "Can't Cry Anymore," and "What I Can Do For You."

2nd CD - Sheryl Crow (1996)

Album Certified Three Times Platinum (Triple Platinum)
1996 Grammy - Best Rock Album
1996 Grammy - Best Female Rock Vocal Performance -"If It Makes You Happy"

"A Change Would Do You Good, " "Everyday Is A Winding Road," and "Home" were hits.

3rd CD -The Globe Sessions (1998)

Album Certified Platinum
1998 Grammy - Best Rock Album
1999 Grammy - Best Female Rock Vocal Performance - "Sweet Child O' Mine"
2000 Grammy - Best Female Rock Vocal Performance - "There Goes The Neighborhood"

The Globe Sessions may be her "Sgt. Pepper's" or "Dark Side of the Moon."

She reminds me of a female John Lennon on this CD. She also has that nice acoustic guitar sound like Tom Petty.

" My Favorite Mistake," "Maybe That's Something," "Riverwide," "It Don't Hurt," "Anything But Down," and "Am I Getting Through" are great songs.

4th CD - Sheryl Crow and Friends
Live from Central Park (1999)

5th CD - C'Mon C'Mon (2002)

Album Certified Two Times Platinum (Double Platinum)
2003 Grammy - Best Female Rock Vocal Performance -
"Steve McQueen"

The songs "It's So Easy" (with Don Henley) and "Weather Channel" (with Emmylou Harris) are worth the entire price. She captures California again with her hit "Soak Up the Sun."

6th CD - The Very Best of Sheryl Crow (2003)

Album Certified Three Times Platinum (Triple Platinum)
Album Certified Five Times Platinum (in Canada)
Nominated for 2004 Grammy for
- Best Female Pop Vocal Performance - "The First Cut Is The Deepest"

I recommend buying the one that includes a DVD with thirteen music videos

Sheryl Crow: C'mon America (2003)

A DVD of a concert in Dayton, Ohio.  Sheryl Crow never sounded better or looked better.  The band was top notch.
"Weather Channel" is worth the entire price.

7th CD - Wildflower (released 09/27/2005)

Album Certified Platinum

I bought this the day it came out and have been listening to it everyday.  Lance Armstrong has been good to Sheryl Crow because I think this may be her best, even better than "The Globe Sessions."

I am pretty sure that it will be nominated for a Grammy and may win.

Update: Grammy nominations include Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Good Is Good"

The singles include "Good Is Good" and "I Know Why"

The following songs are tied for the best song on the CD - "Perfect Lies," "Chances Are," "Wildflower," and "Always On Your Side."  There is not a bad song on the CD.  "Good is Good," "Where Has All The Love Gone," "Lifetimes," "Letter To God," and "Live It Up" are all great and some have that hint of John Lennon's "Dear Prudence" and that Globe Sessions sound.

"Always On Your Side" alone is worth the price.

I recommend getting the CD with the Limited Edition seven song acoustic DVD which also includes the video for "Good is Good."

I have just one question - "If butterflies are free to fly, why do they fly away?"

8th CD - Detours (released 02/05/2008)

I just got it and so far, I like it.  I really like "Lullaby for Wyatt."

9th CD - 100 Miles From Memphis [2010]

I remember why I like Sheryl Crow.  She has an awesome voice.  This CD is really good and I liked 5 songs right off the bat:

#3 Sign Your name - "Sign your name across my heart, I wanna be your baby"
#8 Stop
#9 Sideways - "These feelings won't go away, they've been knockin' me sideways"
#10 100 Miles from Memphis
#11 Roses and Moonlight
