Foo Fighters

by Paul Ridenour

Dallas, TX
Fair Park Coliseum

The Coliseum was a dive but it was small enough that most seats were good.  The opening band Cave-In was pretty dang good.  The next band, the Transplants, was the worst band ever.  The word "sucks" comes to mind.  When they said "this is our last song," everyone booed, meaning "Do we have to hear another one?" The Foo Fighters were very good and lead singer David Grohl was very funny, but occasionally a little dirty.  He does a very fine job of singing pretty and screaming at the top of his lungs.  Not sure if his voice will last a few more years.  The drummer Taylor Hawkins is and was fantastic.
